So, do you ever have that problem where you take on a huge exciting project, only to realize that you bit off way more than you can chew? I’m not saying this is one of those times, but, well, we could use a little help over here. Getting this site looking good was a challenge, but our ultimate goal has always been to expand and improve upon our content. That means correcting errors from the existing text, adding more information to existing pages and creating new ones, and finding new and better images across the site. It’s a big project, but in the end we can look forward to a beautiful, complete online guide to the Middle Ages for scholars, students, and enthusiasts alike. Our team has already gotten started on it, but it’ll go a lot faster if we get a little help. Here’s what we’re looking for:

Site Cleanup and Content Editing Underway

22 Aug
August 22, 2012

The old version of this website had a design from 1996 and content in English from a non-native writer.  We have been working hard to clean up everything from the look of the site to the grammar on its pages. This is going to be a time consuming task and will involve many hours of work, but we really want to see this site thrive and become a central hub for any Medieval Times / Middle Ages related content and reference material.

To start we have been building a completely new site and bringing in content from the old one.  The first version of the new site was finished a few days ago and we moved the domain over.  After a few weeks of work you are now reading this on the new site.

The next task has been updating, editing, re-writing, and generally cleaning up the content.  We have also been writing a lot of new content.  Take a look at any of the Medieval Sieges pages and you will see our freshly researched and written content.

Site Changes and Upgrades

30 Jul
July 30, 2012

We are currently in the process of converting the website from an old static HTML site into WordPress.  This will make it easier for us to add more features, better categorize the things, and get more editors creating new content.  We have high hopes for the site and are going to put a lot of time into getting this conversion done right.

With the new look and feel we are looking for anyone interested in helping out with new content, proof reading old content, and adding source citations for a lot of the existing material.  So if anyone is interested you can visit the contact page and let us know.

Hopefully over the next few weeks you will continue to see improvements to the site on nearly a daily basis.  If you have any suggestions please use the contact page and maybe we can get them done.
