Battle of Bratislava (907)

The Battle of Bratislava or Battle of Pressburg took place in 907. The Magyars severely defeated the Bavarian forces led by Margrave Luitpold of Bavaria who was killed in the battle. The Bavarian defeat in the Battle of Bratislava resulted in Magyar occupation of the territory of Ostmark (present-day eastern Austria) up to the River Enns from where they continued to raid the Kingdom of the East Franks and other surrounding regions.
