Battle of Gvozd Mountain (1097)

The Battle of Gvozd Mountain took place on Petrova gora in central Croatia in 1097 and resulted in the decisive victory of Hungarian forces over Croatian army under command of King Peter. Peter, the last Croatian king was killed during the battle, while Coloman I of Hungary coerced Croatia into a personal union with Hungary and crowned himself King of Croatia in 1102.
