Battle of Lipany (1434)

The Battle of Lipany also known as the Battle of Cesky Brod was a major battle of the Hussite Wars and took place on May 30, 1434. The moderate faction of the Hussites, the Utraquists joined by the Catholics decisively defeated the forces of radical Hussites, the Taborites led by Prokop the Great and virtually ended the Hussite Wars. Two years later was signed Compactata of Basel which resulted in the acceptance of Sigismund as King of Bohemia who destroyed the remnants of Taborites at Kutna Hora in 1437.
