Battle of Posada

The Battle of Posada was fought between the Hungarian army under leadership of Charles I Robert and the Wallachians led by Besarab I in 1330. The location of the battle remains unknown but it probably took place somewhere in the mountains of the Transylvanian Alps. The superior Hungarian army suffered a devastating defeat and Wallachia renewed its independence from Hungary.
