Battle of Vouille (507)

The Battle of Vouille was fought between the Franks led by Clovis I and the Visigoths under leadership of Alaric II in 507. The Franks decisively defeated the Visigoths, while the King of Visigoths Alaric II perished in the battle. Afterwards the Visigoths withdrew south of Pyrenees and established a kingdom with capital in Toledo, while Clovis I annexed Aquitaine.
