John of Bohemia

John of Bohemia also known as John the Blind was the son of Holy Roman Emperor Henry VII. He became King of Bohemia through marriage with Elisabeth, heiress of Wenceslaus III of Bohemia in 1310. He spent much of his time fighting and extended the Bohemian territory to upper Lusatia and Silesia. John became blind in a tournament but despite that he led about 500 knights against the English in the Battle of Crecy in 1346 during which he was killed.
