Owain Glyndwr

Owain Glyndwr was the last Welsh to hold the title Prince of Wales. He came into conflict with his English border baron Grey de Ruthyn which resulted in the Welsh Revolt (1400-1415) which also gained support in Ireland, Scotland, France and even in some parts of England. The Welsh Revolt was suppressed by the English in 1413 but Owain was never captured nor betrayed although an enormous award has been offered.
