Galahad by George Frederic Watts

Galahad is one of the King Arthur’s Knights of the Round Table and illegitimate son of Lancelot and Elaine of Carbonek, renowned for his gallantry and purity. According to the Arthurian Legend he found the Holy Grail, a cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper which was supposedly brought to Britain. However, the legend of the Holy Grail with miraculous powers probably originated from the Celtic mythology and stories about magic dish bowl.
